Templeton is a perfect 10-0 against Nipomo since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Templeton Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Nipomo Titans at 3:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Templeton is leaving town to face Nipomo after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Templeton took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arroyo Grande on Wednesday.

Templeton got a big performance out of Emma Marquart, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Bailey Fiorenza, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

Meanwhile, Nipomo had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against Pioneer Valley, falling 6-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Everything went Templeton's way against Nipomo in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Templeton made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Templeton since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
