Basketball Recap: South Central Comes Up Short

South Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 73-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mapleton Mounties. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mounties this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-36 back in January.

South Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Mapleton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Coming up, South Central will challenge New London at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mapleton, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Monroeville at 7:15 p.m. Monroeville will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Mapleton surely won't give up without a fight.
