Softball Recap: Meridian Takes a Loss

Meridian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 19-4 to the Oak Grove Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-6 back in March.

Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Oak Grove, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-8.

Looking ahead, Meridian will be playing at home against Cleveland Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oak Grove, they will challenge Northwest Rankin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
