Basketball Recap: Woodland Takes a Loss

Woodland lost against Wadley on January 8th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Woodland Bobcats took a blow against the Wadley Bulldogs, falling 66-36.

A'Mya Brown continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wadley, dropping a triple-double on 39 points, ten rebounds, and 11 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least a third of Wadley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bentley Mulkey, who posted nine points and three steals.

Woodland dropped their record down to 3-16 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Wadley, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodland has already played their next game (against Jacksonville Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wadley will face off against LaFayette at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
