Baseball Recap: Katella Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Katella won the last time they faced Whittier and things went their way on Monday too. Katella came out on top against Whittier by a score of 10-6. While the Knights didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Hector Perez was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Moisses Luengas also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Katella's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Whittier, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Katella didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-2 victory against Marshall on the 24th. As for Whittier, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-3 loss against Buena Park on the 24th.
