Softball Preview: Culpeper County Blue Devils vs. Eastern View Cyclones
Culpeper County is 1-9 against Eastern View since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will square off against the Cyclones at 6:45 p.m. Culpeper County will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
On Friday, Culpeper County got the win against Albemarle by a conclusive 14-2. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by ten runs or more this season.
Meanwhile, while Eastern View put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Spotsylvania. The Cyclones narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Knights 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Cyclones in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won four in a row.
Spotsylvania's batters probably weren't too happy with Cailin Rendell, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 16 Ks (she gave up a single walk). Rendell has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.
