San Pasqual's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 4-0 margin over Point Loma. The result was nothing new for the Golden Eagles, who have now won five matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Poway hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They skirted past Montgomery 2-1. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Aztecs are ranked 893rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Gavin Rose and Ryan Cokkinis scored both of Poway's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Poway is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-0-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those eight games. As for San Pasqual, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.
