Softball Recap: Springport Takes a Loss

Springport has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.18 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 11-1 to the Eaton Rapids Greyhounds. The contest marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Springport and nudges their season record down to 9-2. As for Eaton Rapids, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springport will take on Bronson at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eaton Rapids, they will square off against Olivet at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
