Volleyball Recap: Temple Falls to Villa Rica in First Game of Season

Temple kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Villa Rica Wildcats by a score of 2-1. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

The 2-1 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-31, 25-22, 15-12.

Villa Rica pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Temple didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Haralson County on the 5th. As for Villa Rica, they will welcome New Manchester at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
