Baseball Recap: Monache Triumphs

Monache came out on top against Golden West on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Marauders took their contest against the Trailblazers 6-3. The Marauders haven't had any issues with the Trailblazers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Aaron Leyva looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Rolando Quinones, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Tyson Chavez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Monache's record now sits at 19-7. As for Golden West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season.

Monache didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-0 defeat against El Diamante on the 6th. As for Golden West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-6 victory against Mt. Whitney on the 6th.
