It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Southwest Covenant can now relate to. They fell just short of the Caddo Bruins by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The Patriots' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Southwest Covenant got a good showing from Gavyn Beshears, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time Beshears hasn't allowed a single hit since back in February.

On the hitting side, Southwest Covenant saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tate Flanary, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Southwest Covenant's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Caddo, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 20-6.

As of now, neither Southwest Covenant nor the Bruins have any future games scheduled.
