 Thomson has gone  a perfect 3-0 against Butler recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Friday. Thomson will venture away from home to  challenge Butler  at 7:30  p.m. Thomson will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Friday, Thomson was fully in charge, breezing past Josey 50-6. With the Bulldogs ahead  36-0 at the half, the  contest was all but over already.

 Dallas HIll was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 128 yards and one  score on only seven carries, and also threw for 163 yards and a pair of  touchdowns on only 14 passes.  Noah Merriweather was in the mix  too, providing Thomson with two TDs.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Thomson was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 247  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 193  rushing yards in three consecutive  games.
 Meanwhile, Butler took a  blow against Burke County on Friday, falling  44-6. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 415th, while the Bears are ranked 181st).
 This is the second loss in a row for Butler and  nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Thomson, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
 Everything came up roses for Thomson against Butler in their previous matchup  back in November of 2024, as the  team secured  a  59-14 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Thomson since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
