Baseball Recap: Frontier Has No Trouble Against Beallsville

While Frontier put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Beallsville. The Cougars blew past the Blue Devils 23-0. That looming 23-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cougars yet this season.

Aidan Wolfe looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, True King was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Ethan Rinard also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Frontier always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Beallsville only posted an OBP of .312.

Frontier has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Beallsville, they dropped their record down to 2-19 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Frontier will be playing at home against Bridgeport at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Beallsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
