Alexander is 8-2 against Laredo LBJ since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Both will meet in a canine-themed contest at 2:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Alexander has 11 straight victories, Laredo LBJ has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Friday, Alexander earned a 63-51 win over Eagle Pass. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Eagles are ranked 237th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Laredo LBJ ended up a good deal behind Knoxville Catholic on Monday and lost 77-60.

Alexander has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Laredo LBJ, their loss dropped their record down to 6-17.

Alexander took their victory against Laredo LBJ when the teams last played back in February by a conclusive 57-35. Does Alexander have another victory up their sleeve, or will Laredo LBJ turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
