Winning is just a little bit easier when you make five more threes than your opponent, a fact Great Mills proved on Friday. They snuck past Thomas Stone with a 41-35 win.
Telisa Adams continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. She is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for four games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of A'naija Bush, who scored five points along with 18 rebounds and six steals.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Chopticon over La Plata in every quarter on their way to victory on Monday. Chopticon was the clear victor by a 51-31 margin over La Plata. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chopticon.
Great Mills' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. As for Chopticon, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-12 record this season.
Great Mills strolled past Chopticon when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 48-34. Will Great Mills repeat their success, or does Chopticon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
