Plainfield East has gone a perfect 8-0 against Waubonsie Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Plainfield East will head out on the road to face off against Waubonsie Valley at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Plainfield East is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against St. Charles East on Saturday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fighting Saints.

Corinne Garmon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Waubonsie Valley also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Aurora Central Catholic by a score of 8-4.

Aislee Morgan was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Dezirae Kelly was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Waubonsie Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Plainfield East, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-2.

Plainfield East was able to grind out a solid victory over Waubonsie Valley in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 12-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for Plainfield East since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
