Clayton skates past Salem with ease

Recap: Clayton Clippers vs. Salem Rams

The Clayton Clippers can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They blew past Salem 58-30 at home. The win was nothing new for Clayton as they're now sitting on four straight.

It was another big night for Rainelle Blocker, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below three steals for 11 straight games. Another player making a difference was Deondria Simon, who scored 14 points along with two steals.

Clayton pushed their record up to 11-9 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Salem, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

Clayton will head out on the road to face off against Glassboro at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Salem, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Pleasantville at 5:30 p.m. on February 9th. Salem is facing Pleasantville at the right time seeing as Pleasantville is stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
