Tesoro had lost six straight, but after bumping their record up to 8-12-1 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Dana Hills Dolphins 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Titans have posted since March 25th.

As for Dana Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 16-8. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Dana Hills' part, they handed starting duties to Gavin Giese, who gave a strong showing despite the result: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over 6.2 innings pitched. Giese has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Dana Hills saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tommy Burke, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
