Volleyball Recap: River Valley Takes a Loss

After flying high against Clear Fork last Thursday, River Valley came back down to earth. The Vikings took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ontario Warriors on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost six in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-20, 27-29, 25-14.

Myla Kenney paced River Valley's offense, picking up 18 kills. Kenney got some help from Hayley Wickersham and her 23 assists. Kenney was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Ontario, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-8.

River Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Centerburg on the 9th. Ontario does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
