While Spruce Mountain's win against Hall-Dale wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Phoenix sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 victory over the Bulldogs on Tuesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Phoenix's hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Rylee Turner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and three unearned) runs on 13 hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Santika Hodgkin was excellent, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Devin Bryant was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Spruce Mountain's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Hall-Dale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

As of now, neither Spruce Mountain nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
