Softball Recap: Paulding Takes a Loss

If Paulding was feeling good fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Continental on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell just short of the Napoleon Wildcats by a score of 5-4 on Saturday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cadence Schwab and Mariah Klopfenstein did some serious damage despite the final result: Schwab went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run, while Klopfenstein scored a run while going 1-for-3. That triple was Schwab's first of the season.

Paulding's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Napoleon, they now have a winning record of 5-4-1.

Paulding has already played their next game, a 12-0 victory against Holgate on the 14th. As for Napoleon, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 16-1 win against Southview on the 14th.
