It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Eastern Alamance had no problem doing just that  on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Currituck County Knights  a   4-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
The result came thanks to  Delani Straughan's shutout, as she gave up just two  hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Eastern Alamance saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Mckenzie Blevins, who  went 1-for-2 with one  run and one  RBI.
Eastern Alamance pushed their record up to 18-7 with the  victory, which was their fifth straight  at home. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Currituck County,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 11-14.
As of now, neither Eastern Alamance nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
