Volleyball Recap: Flora Comes Up Short

Flora was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Fairfield Mules. The Wolves were not able to make up for their loss to the Mules from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-12.

Leading Fairfield to victory were Alexa Newman and Maci McConnaughhay. Newman had 13 assists and four digs, while McConnaughhay had nine digs and three assists.

Flora's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Fairfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Flora wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Cisne on the 20th. As for Fairfield, they will challenge Hamilton County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
