Memphis East proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by six) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Power Center Academy Knights, sneaking past 1-0. Memphis East's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Memphis East pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Power Center Academy, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Memphis East will host Memphis School of Excellence Winchester at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Memphis East's defense better be ready for this one: Memphis School of Excellence Winchester has averaged an impressive 3.2 goals per game this season. As for Power Center Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Kirby at 5:00 p.m. on April 3.
