Basketball Recap: Woodbridge Takes a Loss

Woodbridge lost against Potomac Senior back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Woodbridge Vikings took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Potomac Senior Panthers. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Woodbridge saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Maia Melendez went 6 of 15 on her way to 17 points. Another player making a difference was Zoey Coffer, who posted nine points and six assists.

Potomac Senior was led to victory by Meme Conteh and Taylor Allen. Conteh scored 12 points, while Allen had 11 points.

Woodbridge's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Potomac Senior, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.

Woodbridge has already played their next contest, a 40-24 victory against Hylton on the 30th. As for Potomac Senior, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-20 win against Forest Park on the 31st.
