It was a Battle of the Birds when Bishop Hartley duked it out with Big Walnut on Friday. The Hawks fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Hawks' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Carson Moore made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Bishop Hartley's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Big Walnut, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
