Softball Recap: Brown Drops Season-High Score on Valley

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brown). They put the hurt on the Valley Vikings with a sharp 31-16 victory on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won five contests by 15 runs or more so far this season.

Brown is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.0 runs over those games. As for Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Looking ahead, Brown will head out on the road to square off against Seneca at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Valley, they will welcome Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
