Softball Recap: LEE Takes a Loss

LEE lost against Johnson back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Volunteers came up short against the Jaguars, falling 16-3. The Volunteers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Isabella Salinas made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. Alayna Castellano also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

LEE's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Johnson, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. LEE is set to challenge their familiar foe Madison at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Johnson will take on rival Churchill at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Jaguars are on a six-game streak of home wins, the Chargers a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
