Soccer Recap: Mauston Takes a Loss

Mauston lost against Assumption back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Golden Eagles lost 9-3 to the Royals. That's two games in a row now that Mauston have lost by exactly six goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Mauston and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Assumption, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2-1.

Mauston will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Richland Center at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for Assumption, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Northland Pines on the 12th.
