Baseball Recap: Ballantyne Ridge Comes Up Short

Ballantyne Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 5-2 to the South Mecklenburg Sabres. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sabres this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 on Wednesday.

Ballantyne Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for South Mecklenburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Ballantyne Ridge will head out on the road to take on Butler at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for South Mecklenburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hopewell at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Titans will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Sabres surely won't give up without a fight.
