Basketball Recap: Yuma Criminals vs. Coronado Dons

If Coronado wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Yuma, they should've done a better job of containing Legend Redmond. The Yuma Criminals came out on top against the Coronado Dons by a score of 49-36 on Thursday thanks in part to Redmond, who went 7 of 14 on her way to 17 points and six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Yuma's points.

Despite the loss, Coronado had strong showings from Kailyn Holsey, who posted six points along with ten rebounds and five steals, and Jayda Begay, who put up ten points and seven boards. Holsey is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Miranda Moreno, who had eight points and six rebounds.
