Basketball Game Preview: Little Rock Christian Academy Warriors vs. Bryant Hornets

The Little Rock Christian Academy Warriors will challenge the Bryant Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Little Rock Christian Academy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.

Last Saturday, everything went Little Rock Christian Academy's way against Bowling Green as Little Rock Christian Academy made off with a 66-45 victory. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Bryant was just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 68-67 to Bellaire. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Hornets came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked tenth in Arkansas, while the Cardinals are ranked 62nd in Texas).

Little Rock Christian Academy will have to contain Rj Young as he made an impact in Bryant's last game. He dropped a double-double on 27 points and 13 boards. Young is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Camarion Bead, who went 5 of 12 en route to 16 points.

Even though they lost, Bryant was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bellaire only posted seven assists.

Little Rock Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points per game. As for Bryant, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.

Little Rock Christian Academy ended up a good deal behind Bryant in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, losing 71-53. Can Little Rock Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
