Lakota West waltzed into their match on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Everything went their way against Fairmont as they made off with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lakota West also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 26-24, 27-25.

Addyson Kloth paced Lakota West's offense, picking up 14 kills. Kloth got some help from Allie Steckman and her 20 assists. Steckman also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Samantha Gamble, each putting up five.

Lakota West's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Fairmont, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Lakota West and Little Miami will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fairmont, they will challenge Beavercreek at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
