Basketball Game Preview: Baboquivari Warriors vs. The Gregory School Hawks

Having just played yesterday, the Baboquivari Warriors will get right back to it and host The Gregory School Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Gregory School took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Baboquivari, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Baboquivari got the win against Valley Lutheran by a conclusive 53-29. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, The Gregory School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 31-25 heartbreaker at the hands of Desert Christian.

Baboquivari will have to keep a close watch on Lauren Horowitz and Rose Pisetsky, a pair of players who had a big impact on The Gregory School's prior game. Horowitz posted six points and six rebounds, while Pisetsky scored nine points and five steals. Pisetsky has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times she's played.

Baboquivari is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.6 points per game. As for The Gregory School, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.
