It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Palos Verdes had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 28-10 win over the Bakersfield Christian Eagles. The victory was nothing new for the Sea Kings as they're now sitting on six straight.

Palos Verdes was led to victory by Ryan Rakowski and Andrew Habif. Rakowski rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while Habif rushed for 118 yards and one touchdown. That's the most rushing yards Habif has posted since back in August. Jace Demoss got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Palos Verdes was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 239 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Palos Verdes is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.2 points per game. As for Bakersfield Christian, the defeat snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 11-3 record.

Palos Verdes didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-19 win against Twelve Bridges on the 14th. Bakersfield Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
