Volleyball Game Preview: Northview Wildcats vs. Springfield Blue Devils

The Northview Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Springfield Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Tuesday, Northview came up short against Anthony Wayne and fell 3-1.

While Northview ultimately came up short, they really made Anthony Wayne work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 20-25, 26-24, 25-14.

Andrew Smith put forth a good effort for the losing side as he had 11 digs and two aces.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Springfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past Adrian 3-0 on Thursday.

Springfield never let Adrian on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-19.

Northview has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. As for Springfield, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6.

Northview came out on top in a nail-biter against Springfield in their previous matchup back in April, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
