Softball Recap: Roane County Comes Up Short

If Roane County was riding high fresh off their 15-1 takedown of Richwood last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Roane County came up short against the South Williamsport Mountaineers on Tuesday, falling 17-2.

Roane County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Mitchell, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Roane County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. South Williamsport has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Roane County will head out on the road to take on Calhoun at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Williamsport, they will challenge Riverside at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
