            Basketball Recap: Parkersburg Catholic Crusaders vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish        
        
		
        
        
            With a playoff win on the line, Parkersburg Catholic rose to the challenge  on Friday. They blew past the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 60-40. The score was close at the half, but the Crusaders pulled away in the second half with 31  points.

 Parkersburg Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Preston Randolph, who  dropped  a double-double with 18 points and 12  rebounds. Those  12  boards gave  Randolph a new career-high.  Leonardo DeAngelo was another key player,  going 5-for-7  en route to 15  points and four  steals.
The  win made it two in a row for Parkersburg Catholic and  bumps their season record up to 7-15. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 42 points. As for Notre Dame, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record  this season.
 Parkersburg Catholic will head out on the road to  challenge  Clay-Battelle  at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Clay-Battelle will roll in looking for their  seventh straight  victory, something Parkersburg Catholic surely won't give up without a fight. Notre Dame does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
