Roosevelt and Fresno are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Rough Riders will face off against the Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Roosevelt is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Roosevelt is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Madera South just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stallions.

Roosevelt saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Arianna Macias, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Fresno suffered their closest defeat since April 8, 2025 on Friday. They fell just short of San Joaquin Memorial by a score of 10-8.

Emily Navarro and Susan Dominguez stepped up to the plate in a big way. Navarro went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI, while Dominguez went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Maryjane Martinez also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Fresno's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Roosevelt, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Roosevelt's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's matchup. The Rough Riders have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Fresno, though, as they've been averaging only 0.5 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Roosevelt continue to outrun the ball?

Everything went Roosevelt's way against Fresno when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Roosevelt made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rough Riders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
