Aquinas and Scotus are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Aquinas Monarchs will be playing at home against the Scotus Shamrocks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Aquinas will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Archangels Catholic, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Aquinas came out on top against Archangels Catholic by a score of 56-43 last Tuesday.

Aquinas had a senior duo take command as Bryant Stouffer dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten boards and Kailer Pohl went 6-for-8 en route to 17 points and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Stouffer has scored at least a third of Aquinas' points. Another player making a difference was Matthew Storm, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, Scotus earned a 60-48 win over Lakeview on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Shamrocks in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won eight in a row.

Aquinas' win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Scotus, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5.
