Basketball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 75-54 to the Waconia Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-46 back in January.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Waconia, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-16 record this season.

Jefferson and Waconia could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. Jefferson (ranked 214th) will meet New Prague (ranked 47th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Waconia will take on Orono at 7:00 p.m. on Friday down 134 places (141 vs. 7).
