After a string of ten wins dating back to last season, Lake Shore's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against the Orchard Park Quakers, falling 77-53. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lake Shore fell to 3-1. As for Orchard Park, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Lake Shore will be playing at home against Cheektowaga at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Orchard Park, they will square off against Lancaster at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Lancaster has won seven straight at home, while Orchard Park won six straight on the road dating back to last season), something that'll have to change.
