Softball Recap: Tug Valley Makes It Five in a Row at Home

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Tug Valley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They skirted past the Shelby Valley Wildcats 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Katie Hall was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Tug Valley's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Shelby Valley, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tug Valley will head out to challenge St. Marys at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Shelby Valley, they will challenge Letcher County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
