Volleyball Recap: Vanden Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Vanden lost against Vacaville back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Vikings lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Vanden was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Vacaville's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-13, 25-16.

Aniyah Bermudez paced Vanden's offense, picking up five kills. Bermudez got some help from Iris Corral and her six assists. Corral was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Vanden's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Vacaville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Vanden is set to challenge their familiar foe Pioneer at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Vacaville will square off against rival Rodriguez at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
