River Falls waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Barron Golden Bears. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While River Falls won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-22.

Amelie Pankonin paced River Falls' offense, picking up nine kills. Pankonin got some help from Allie Larsen and her 17 assists. Pankonin was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

River Falls' win bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Barron, with the loss, they broke their 13-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. River Falls will venture away from home to face off against Eau Claire Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Barron, they will head out to challenge Spooner at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Golden Bears' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
