Volleyball Recap: Holliston Comes Up Short

Holliston lost against Hopkinton back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Hillers.

While Holliston had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22, 25-22.

Gabby Pattie was a one-woman wrecking crew For Hopkinton. as she had five digs and two aces. Pattie is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sydney Stephen, who had 12 digs and two assists.

Holliston dropped their record down to 8-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Hopkinton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Holliston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Nipmuc Regional on the 10th. As for Hopkinton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Norwood on the 14th.
