The Leto Falcons will square off against the Freedom Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Leto is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Morgan with a sharp 11-1 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Falcons needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Brihan Diaz made a splash no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. He also allowed no hits, which is notable because Leto is 3-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 6-13 otherwise. Diaz was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, Alex Abreu was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. He is becoming a predictor of Leto's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 5-13 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Gonzalez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Leto always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .577. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Morgan only posted an OBP of .350.
Meanwhile, Freedom had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. Give the Patriots' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.
The result came thanks to Trent Strawser's shutout, as he gave up just seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Logan Handville, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.
Leto's record is now 9-14. As for Freedom, their record now sits at 17-7.
Leto skirted past Freedom 4-2 when the teams last played back in March. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
