Football Recap: Tylertown Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tylertown can now relate to. The contest between the Chiefs and the Hazlehurst Indians didn't end well, with the Chiefs falling 57-40. The Chiefs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hazlehurst's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brandon Haines led the charge by rushing for 129 yards on only 14 carries. Haines' rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 129 rushing yards.

Tylertown's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Hazlehurst, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.

Tylertown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hazlehurst, they will face off against Union at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Yellowjackets have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games.
