Basketball Recap: Eight Straight Home Victories for Northview

Northview won the last time they faced Cloverdale and things went their way on Friday too. Everything went the Northview Knights' way against the Cloverdale Clovers as the Northview Knights made off with a 62-36 win. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Clovers are ranked 271st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brayden Goff, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. That's the most boards Goff has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Perry, who went 5 of 12 en route to 12 points and seven rebounds.

Northview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. They are a perfect 5-0 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Northview pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Cloverdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.

Northview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 71-30 win against Crawfordsville on the 1st. Cloverdale has also already played their next contest (against Eastern Greene), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
