Baseball Recap: Louisville Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Louisville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the North Platte Bulldogs on Saturday, falling 13-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 13-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Louisville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dayton Carlson, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Louisville has already played their next match, a 17-1 loss against Adams Central on the 22nd. As for North Platte, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-9 defeat against Guardian Angels Central Catholic/West Point Beemer on the 22nd.
